Congratulations to club member Serena Valdez Klemek for winning the first CUSD Students Who Excel Award. Serena has done over 2,000 hours of community service, leads a leadership camp during the summer, and helped organize the club school supply drive.
Our sock drive at Carmel High went really well. Our goal was 1,000, but we ended up getting a total of 1,450 socks! We donated them to a local homeless veteran drive. We are so happy that we were able to collect so many socks to help those who desperately need them, and we are excited to be able to contribute to your goal!
The winning class was Mrs. Pollock’s 5th period math class. Thank you to everyone!
We are excited to partner with the Carmel High School ASB and Gold’s Gym to collect socks to be distributed to homeless in Monterey County. Socks are the most needed and least donated items at homeless shelters. You can donate socks at Carmel High School and at Gold’s Gym (Del Monte Center, Monterey).
We are a non-profit. Please consider making a donation to help us with our current initiatives.

Amazon wishlist – we are currently collecting school supplies for elementary students in Salinas.
We officially have a logo (and a specific blue color – 2171 C ). Thank you so much to Juan Reyes for the amazing design!
Through this process we learned about blue hearts. A blue heart can symbolize trust, harmony, peace and loyalty. The hand is a raised hand for all the people who’ve stepped up and joined the club.
This amazing Carmel Middle School student has been battling a rare brain tumor. Her wish is to go to Italy. Please help her get there! 🇮🇹
We spent the first day of summer vacation sorting the school supplies donations because helping the community doesn’t take the summer off. Thank you to everyone in the district for helping out! Mission Trail Lions provides full school backpacks and every school helped provide much needed school supplies.
We made these flower crowns and gave them to an adorable group of kindergarteners at Kammann Elementary School in Salinas. We also brought bubbles and chocolate to celebrate their hard work this year. The students are reading at high 1st or 2nd grade level and are excited to listen, be responsible, and work hard in 1st grade. We connected with the class through GoFundMe.
